Networking Breakfast
The next Networking Breakfast will be held March 11th at the Yankee Trace Golf Clubhouse. New FinCEN Rule:
Have you heard the word FinCEN thrown around in the real estate world lately? This very informative CE explains what it means and how this new FinCEN rule affects you, your buyers and sellers, and your real estate transactions. The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) announced a final rule that is designed to combat and deter money laundering by increasing transparency in the U.S. residential real estate sector. The rule requires certain persons (entities, LLC’s etc.) involved in real estate closings report information to FinCEN about specified transfers of residential real estate that are a high risk for illicit finance. You will learn what information is required, the reporting structure, and your role in the new rule. The final rule will take effect on MARCH 1, 2026
